The two toned look taken to the max! I'm not joking when I named this blog post "Big Project=Big Results", this custom order was the hardest project we took on. Oh but the results made it so worth it!
This custom order included the following:
Large circular table with table leaf
2- Captain chairs
The customer, Reba, wanted a two toned look with ASCP Old White on the bottom and the table top/seats stained in a Dark Spanish stain..which meant stripping the stain off of the chairs and table (cue the blood, sweat, and tears now) lol. But we were determined to do it!
It required TWO cans of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, 1/2 can of Spanish stain, 1/2 can of Annie Sloan Clear and Dark Wax, 2 cans of varnish and stain stripper, 3 good coats of poly all over the stain, and countless hours of sanding, painting and waxing the chairs. Those spindles were a pain!
However as you can see the results were well worth all of it, and having one very happy customer made it all worth the frustration.
